UNLEASH

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

UNLEASH Hack Ghana addresses the pressing challenge of building a sustainable agricultural future in the context of climate change. In Kumasi, a hub of agricultural activity in Ghana, farmers face mounting pressures from erratic weather patterns, including unpredictable rainfall and rising temperatures, which disrupt planting seasons, reduce crop yields, and strain water resources. These environmental shifts not only threaten the region’s food security but also imperil the economic well-being of communities where agriculture is a cornerstone of livelihood. This Hack invites participants to explore how Ghana can fortify its agricultural resilience while advancing sustainable, climate-adaptive farming practices, such as innovative land and water management or technology-driven solutions, that empower smallholder farmers and benefit local communities.
