With a distinct demographic advantage, India has adopted many reforms in the education and skilling spaces to provide its students with a competitive edge in employment and entrepreneurship. The delivery models, however, have been seen lacking, with a high rate of graduate unemployability due to non-focus on building employability skills and increased academic burden. These limit opportunities to gain meaningful skills by using the real world as a space to learn by doing. At UNLEASH Hack India, we will explore how the Indian education system could partner with the public and private sectors to innovate solutions that enhance educational outcomes by focusing on relevant skills for sustainable employment opportunities in high-growth emerging sectors.
