UNLEASH Hack Morocco focuses on the critical and interlinked challenges of the risk of water scarcity and rising energy demands. Forecasts suggest that water availability could decrease by up to 40% by 2050, exacerbating the challenges for agriculture, drinking water, and sanitation. In parallel, while energy demands continue to rise, sustainable solutions essential for reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels and conventional energy sources is critical. These challenges affect all Moroccans and could potentially jeopardize economic outcomes and quality of life including agricultural and industrial productivity, and a healthy populace. The solutions coming out of this Hack will aim to mitigate the risk of water scarcity and transitioning to sustainable energy, to promote economic development and health.

The Hack is scheduled to take place January 18 and 19, 2025.
