The Gambia, a country with a youthful population, faces many socio-economic challenges. The Gambia’s youth represents both potential and strain, with education and access to resources remaining barriers to their development. The National Development Plan and youth policy highlight the need for youth empowerment through education and entrepreneurship. The UNLEASH Hack Gambia targets enhancing skills and productivity in the agro-food sector, particularly for women and young people. Participants will aim to address challenges related to this theme by coming up with solutions that leverage opportunities to promote gender equality and sustainable agro-food systems.
The Hack is scheduled to take place on September 28 and 29.
