Innovation Lab
China 2019
The UNLEASH Innovation Lab 2019 took place in Shenzhen (China) from November 6-13 .
1,000 got to work in teams based on their SDG focus, and spent the week going through an innovation process designed by UNLEASH. To inspire Talents in their innovation journey, they got to work in multiple venues across the city, such as Shenzhen Polytechnic, Shenzhen Energy, Shenzhen Water Group, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology, China Genebank, BGI, and Vanke Design Community.

Our Innovation Process
In our programs, we use the unique UNLEASH Innovation Methodology to enable young people to translate sustainability challenges into impactful solutions for the SDGs. Our methodology is built around a collaborative innovation process, based on human-centered design principles. In a nutshell, human-centered design starts with focusing on the people you want to design for and ends with tangible products or services, developed to suit their specific needs. The process follows five steps:

The UNLEASH Innovation Lab will take place in Shenzhen, China in 2019 from November 6-13. After being selected to participate, talents will meet at the Opening Ceremony where speakers from around the world will introduce them to the SDGs and each other.
