Craft communities worldwide face numerous challenges that jeopardize their traditional livelihoods. Adding to this, the impacts of climate change such as extreme weather events and environmental degradation threaten the availability of natural resources such as wood, clay, and fibers, essential for crafting. Younger generations often opt for alternative career paths, resulting in a dwindling pool of skilled artisans. UNLEASH Hack India aims to develop ideas that will foster entrepreneurship and provide access to markets through e-commerce, tech platforms and tourism initiatives to create new economic opportunities for artisans. By empowering craft communities with the necessary tools and resources, we can contribute to sustainable development and poverty alleviation.

The Hack is scheduled to take place in Autumn 2024.
