UNLEASH Hack Kampala focuses on the critical issue of promoting climate-resilient cultural tourism in Uganda, specifically in Kampala. As climate change intensifies, cultural heritage sites, historic landmarks, and cultural tourism experiences in Uganda face increasing threats from extreme weather events, rising temperatures, and changing precipitation patterns. These not only endanger the preservation of Uganda's rich cultural heritage but also jeopardize the livelihoods of communities dependent on cultural tourism for economic sustenance. This Hack will seek to develop proactive initiatives to address the risk of irreversible damage to Uganda's cultural treasures and the loss of valuable opportunities for sustainable tourism development. The Hack will take place at the
National ICT Innovation Hub
The Hack is scheduled to take place on October 26 and 27.
