According to the World Risk Index (WRI), Haiti ranks as the most vulnerable to climate change in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Over the past years, the country has suffered from the impact of climate change, such as floods, droughts, and hurricanes, which have had significant implications for water and sanitation infrastructure as well as the overall well-being of the population, particularly women and girls. UNLEASH Hack Haiti brings together young people to ideate innovative approaches to climate adaptation and resilience to help improve the quality of life and wellbeing of Haitians while we collectively work to reverse the impacts of climate change.
The Hack is scheduled to take place Autumn 2024.
