Mitigisa is a year-long exchange program for youth in Greenland, addressing the need for more viable options and access to the indigenous forms of knowledge, skills and language. This platform connects and facilitates exchange of youth experiencing difficulties in Greenland's formal education system, as well as youth eager to explore more of their country. Misigisa focuses on creating new connections, skills and experiences. In turn, it can strengthen youth’s indigenous identity which is shown to be very important for mental health. Mitigisa registers interested students, matching them with other students, facilitates their exchange, provides funding and administration.
