India continues to rank among the most dangerous countries for women. Gender-based violence (GBV) threatens their rights across public, private, and professional spaces. Shame, stigma, challenges in the enforcement of existing laws, and fear of backlash have fostered silence among survivors. With increasing access to digital spaces, tech-facilitated solutions to GBV is rising rapidly. This Hack invites participants to reimagine how we can harness technology to counter GBV, whether by improving reporting, strengthening legal responses, supporting survivors, and strengthening prevention through cultural and mindset shifts.
