Bangkok faces critical environmental challenges from both air pollution and plastic waste that threaten public health and ecosystem sustainability. Vehicle emissions, industrial activity, and seasonal burning create dangerous air quality conditions, while single-use plastics, particularly from food delivery and drinking water, generate substantial waste that overwhelms local management systems and waterways. UNLEASH Hack Bangkok brings together young innovators to address these interconnected environmental challenges. Participants will collaborate to develop solutions that reduce pollution sources, improve monitoring systems, create circular economy opportunities, or introduce policy and behavioral interventions that simultaneously address Bangkok’s air quality and plastic pollution challenges.
