The lack of land regularization and the exploitation by mining and gold prospecting affect food security and quality of life in the riverside community of Vila Brasil, on the Arapiuns River. The inefficiency of fiscalization and the absence of adequate public policies lead to youth migration in search of employment. The creation of a community bank is proposed to support the population's difficulties in accessing sources of income. The goal is to seek external resources to facilitate access to credit and popular financing, and to promote socio-economic development actions that respect the local culture.
