Providing healthcare services in the Arctic faces multiple challenges. One of them is reliance on traveling doctors and nurses for delivery of care. These healthcare professionals often lack medical knowledge of regional specific health issues and cultural awareness when they visit their temporary place of work. The Artic Learning Hub introduces training modules, through self-directed learning, that healthcare workers will utilize to increase their regional-specific health knowledge prior to traveling to specific communities. This overarching solution will have a positive impact healthcare in the Arctic region while promoting collaboration and a stronger sense of belonging.
