The Hack will focus on innovative solutions crucial to Mumbai's climate- critical as parts of the city are forecasted to be underwater by 2050. With rising sea levels threatening to inundate India's financial capital (a densely populated and largely unplanned city), urgent attention is needed in areas such as urban infrastructure, waste management and biodiversity conservation. This Hack endeavors to harness the collective ingenuity of participants to devise resilient strategies that safeguard Mumbai's coastal communities, infrastructure, and natural ecosystems against the escalating impacts of climate change.
The Hack is scheduled to take place February 2025.
