The lack of interest in traditional work practices results in the loss of local culture, while educational limitations and inadequate infrastructure make it difficult to develop sustainable activities. This combination of factors, threatening the future of youth in riverside communities, makes it essential to seek alternatives that offer new sources of income and promote the appreciation of the riverside way of life. TURIMPACTO proposes an exchange model in which tourists share knowledge in specific areas, such as entrepreneurship, with riverside communities. In return, they will experience an immersion in local culture by staying with youth or families from the community.
TURIMPACTO won the Environmental Protection and Accountability Award, supported by Bemol.
