UNLEASH Hacks
UNLEASH Hacks are local innovation sprints for young people to address their region’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UNLEASH Hacks bring people together to tackle local challenges through innovation. They can be community-driven, led by members of the UNLEASH Community, or partner-driven, organized with external partners around a specific theme. In both cases, participants gain practical tools and skills to develop impactful solutions for their communities.

UNLEASH Hacks with Ramboll
UNLEASH and Ramboll are hosting three UNLEASH Hacks focused on reimagining the future of the built environment by bringing together youth in Singapore, Copenhagen, and London to tackle some of the most urgent challenges that shape how cities grow, adapt, and thrive. Talents will delve into locally grounded yet globally relevant issues, leveraging design thinking approaches to develop solutions with the potential for scale beyond the selected cities.

The Innovation Process
During the Hacks, participants are working with the UNLEASH methodology, based on user-centered design principles. The two-day program zooms in on the following stages of the innovation process:
Defining a problem based on user needs and clear insights
Brainstorming and selecting ideas to solve the problem
Creating simple versions of the idea to understand how it will work in real life
Testing the solution with users, learning, and adapting
Planning and launching impactful solutions

Compact Innovation
Processes
UNLEASH Hacks provide a unique learning opportunity for young people all around the world. The compact program enables participants to explore their creativity and discover tools for developing innovative ideas in just two days!
Community-Led
The Hacks are led by our global network of talented UNLEASH Community members. They organize the Hacks and select pressing local challenges to tackle collectively while gaining leadership skills and spreading innovation tools among local youth.
Localized
UNLEASH Hacks are defined and developed by locals for locals, activating passionate youth, local stakeholders and community leaders to collectively address sustainability challenges they are close to.
